Protests erupted in 48 cities across Morocco, with 105 separate demonstrations taking place to denounce Israeli attacks on Gaza and advocate for Palestinian rights.

Participants, responding to appeals from organizations such as the Moroccan Commission for Advocating the Nation’s Causes, gathered in public squares waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans against Israeli military crimes.

Marchers united under the slogan “Stop the Genocide in Gaza,” expressing widespread anger and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

The protests come amidst an ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza, initiated after the Oct. 7, 2023. The genocidal Israeli war has resulted in over 44,300 deaths in Gaza, leaving the territory in devastation.

International legal scrutiny of Israel has intensified, with the International Criminal Court issuing arrest warrants last week for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Simultaneously, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice concerning its aggressions in Gaza. (With Agencies Inputs)
